Owen's Cap and Gown Session

Today I shot Owen's cap and gown session. Someone please hire me for this type of session because I'm all out of siblings now! These sessions are so fun and I love doing them. We take some beautiful shots and then we also goof around and get some priceless silly ones.

I love you so much, Owen. I love your weird sense of humor that gets me when I least expect it. I love your down-to-earth realism and the way you have no tolerance for nonsense. In this crazy upside-down world it's nice to have someone around who will call a spade a spade. Always remember that no matter how fired up the world can make you, that God's got it all in His hands and He can use you as a powerful instrument in His Divine Plan if you say "yes". Be the man of integrity and holiness that you were created to be. I remember the day we brought you home from the hospital and you were MY baby...you'll always be my baby brother no matter how much taller than me you are! It has been such a joy growing up with my siblings and I know that you three will always be my best friends.

Getting Outdoors Again!

It's been a while since I last posted, but it's been a busy spring. My youngest brother is graduating from high school and we held his graduation party a few weeks earlier than we normally do, I had final projects for school, my photo business gets busy this time of year, etc. And now with managing a Facebook page the blog tends to get neglected.

With the nice weather returning I've been doing some outdoor shooting. New life is not hard to find this time of year, like these baby geese and bunnies!

Our friends invited me over to their house to photograph the nest of bunnies in the backyard.

They were so tiny that they were just beginning to wander out of the nest. Some didn't even have their eyes open yet!

My mom wanted a new picture for the wall (our house is beginning to look like my personal art gallery) so she sent me out to photograph these iris. I tried a few different shots and these were my favorites.

I think she plans to frame this one on the wall.
