North Dakota

***MK PHOTOGRAPHY HAS A NEW WEBSITE***
While I will still continue to chronicle some of my personal adventures in photography on this blog, please see the above website for my portrait business!

In July I drove to western North Dakota to visit a friend, and took a lot of pictures as usual! This area of the country is quite photogenic and I always enjoy my time there.

This next one is another item crossed off the Photography Bucket List: lightning!! I was so excited because I also captured the lightning bolt in a cool landscape!

Photographer's version of a "selfie":

Everywhere we went I was on the lookout for rattlesnakes because that's another item on the Photography Bucket List and I now own a very long telephoto that would enable me to photograph one without getting too close, but I ended up having to settle for this bull snake. Oh well, it's still cool on the red gravel road.

A killdeer, if I'm not mistaken:

A sunset somewhere in northwestern Minnesota on my journey back:
